The Newlisi System is flexible to work with primary and biological sludge at any TSS concentration (normally 3-4% TSS).
Practically the sludge will enter in Newlisi system instead entering into the dewatering section. There are no technical limitations.
The final products are: an eluate without solid representing normally 0,5% to 0,7% of the hydraulic WWTP load and a solid material removed in different stage of the process reaching a very high dewatering ratio (up tp 37% TSS ) with same traditional machine used by the customers (decanter or others) but with 1/3 of the normal operation time..
ZERO SLUDGE + ENERGY
If the WWTP is equipped with an anaerobic digester, the eluate becomes a perfect ingredient for increasing the biogas production.
The Newlisi process makes the degradable solubilized part well prepared for the anaerobic biomass.
The methanigen bacterias will be activated sooner than the traditional method reducing the retention time of the same product into the anaerobic digestor.
The final eluate will replace the traditional dewatered liquid, with no significant impact to the WWTP because the Newlisi hydrolysis process is not as invasive as other processes as it works at low temperatures and zero pressure.
The Newlisi technology was developed in order to be easily adaptable to different kinds of sludge and process.
The NEWLISI ZERO SLUDGE technology can be easily adapted to different types of sludge and process.
NEWLISI ZERO SLUDGE disaggregates, reduces and eliminates municipal, industrial sludge. In order to operate, the system requires only electricity; water is not needed.
In particular, the eluato can be:
1. Digested by bacterial mass at the head of the waste water treatment plant
2. The perfect input ingredient (constant and immediately ready to be taken up) for anaerobic digestion
A standard system (processing sludge arising from WWTP with 60.000-100.000 Population Equivalent) is composed of 2 modules with the following dimensions (length x width x height, meters):
- Module P (13,00 x 2,50 x 5,50)
- Module S (13,00 x 2,50 x 3,00). The average capacity at input is between 3 and 8 m3/h.
The modules are adaptable in accordance with the customer’s requirements; besides, modules of non-standard dimension and capacity can be produced. Different modules can also be installed in parallel. The net weight of each module is approximately 13-14 tons.
